Hapiary @home

Your hive at home. Hapiary by your side.

For individuals who want to welcome bees at home and learn to look after them step by step, even with no experience at all.

Who is it for?

  • You dream of having your own bees, at home.
  • You want to look after them yourself, and understand what you are doing.
  • You are a beginner, or you have never opened a hive.

Starting alone often means starting in the dark.

Advice is contradictory, the first opening is intimidating, and it is hard to know what really matters in a colony. Hapiary gives you a common thread: learn first, observe methodically, keep a record of every visit.

Learn before you open your first hive

The Academy brings together 64 lessons of 5 to 8 minutes: understanding the colony, choosing your equipment and location, opening a hive, reading what you see, following the seasonal cycle, managing the colony and looking after its health. You move forward at your own pace and pick up where you left off.

Guided during your visits

At the apiary, Hapiary offers you a structured visit routine: what to look at, in which order, and what to write down. You stay focused on the colony instead of trying to think of everything.

The story of your colony

Every recorded visit is added to your hive’s history. From one visit to the next, you find what you observed and what has changed.

Someone to ask your questions

From the app, you ask your questions to the Hapiary team, and you can request a visit from a beekeeper when the situation calls for it.

How it works

  1. You subscribe

In a few minutes, online. As soon as your payment is confirmed, you receive by email the link that opens your Hapiary account.

  2. Before the bees arrive

You follow the Academy at your own pace: the colony, safety, equipment, choosing the location and the first opening.

  3. During your first season

Your visits are guided and recorded. You build your colony’s history and keep learning as the season goes on.
